LEISURE CENTRE
Single Parent Community Centre
The project calls for the design of a Community Support Centre For Single-Parent Families within the proximity of an urban park environment. Students will generate narratives that respond to context and community-related programmes and explore design solutions that reduce environmental impact utilizing clustered spatial typology and passive design strategies. The design should contribute to and merge harmoniously with the context and provide interesting spatial experience for the users through sensitive and thoughtful architectural intervention.
Design Concept
Leisure has often been defined as a quality of experience or as free time, which is time spent away from work, domestic chores, and education. Most single parents have seldom leisure time for themselves in life as they need to face stress from work and when they reach home, they need to take care of their children. This Single parent community centre will provide spaces for the single parents to take a break from their busy life and spend sometime on their hobby to stay calm and relax while their children is being taken care of.
